United is the latest of the US based airline companies to add premium economy seats on international flights.  This comes after Delta add it to its flights and American Airlines following shortly thereafter.  This addition might be a result of stiff competition from international carries whom have had a dedicated cabin with premium economy seats for years.

In addition to new premium economy seats, United will offer pillows and blankets from Saks Fifth Avenue, amenities kits, upgraded dining and free alcoholic beverages to international premium economy customers.

United has not disclosed which routes and planes would get the premium economy seats, or when they will be available for purchasing.

I personally am looking to added comfort that premium comfort adds without paying for business class.
