Hotel Review: Intercontinental Hong Kong – Part 2.

Intercontinental Hong Kong’s many amenities and facilities were some of the best in the world.

Club Lounge

The club lounge was expansive, well stock and with many glass walls giving the entire lounge a completely open feel as if it was a part of the lobby and restaurant downstairs.

Television Area

You are able to find many available electrical sockets to plug in and charge any of your devices.  There are two large 50″ television available.  Though this lounge is one of the better lounges I have visited in terms of amenities and service, it still would not compete with the lounge at the Intercontinental Cairo Semaris, which is the best lounge I have visited so far.

Club Lounge
Bar and Dining Area

Kudos to Intercontinental for having a bartender there.  Even though I did not have anything to drink, the bartender was attentive and welcoming.  The staff did a terrific job at welcoming guest and attending to their needs while in the lounge.

Fitness Center

The fitness center felt very modern with many different types of equipment.  There was a full-time fitness expert if you had any questions, and routinely came by to check on you during your workout.  The attendants have a cold bottle of spring water and fresh towel ready for you as soon as you got off the elevator and checked me extremely quickly.  As of the time I was photographing the fitness center, the workout areas were busy and I did not take any photos as to disturb the other guest.

Spa

The Spa was very modern yet had a very positive and calming feeling to the area.  Massage rooms were fully enclosed with relaxing music and scented candles.  You can pass through this area on to the pool, hot tub and outdoor restaurant and bar.

Outdoor Dining
Dining with a View
Views of Hong Kong Island

You can eat or drink and enjoy stunning views of Hong Kong Island and the light show at night.

Hot Tub

As the pool was being refurbished during the time of my stay, I couldn’t get any photos.  The hot tub was over sized and great for enjoying a drink in or just lounging around with someone special.

Conclusion:

As of writing this, Intercontinental Hong Kong is still my favorite hotel in the world.  The staff was helpful, the facilities were updated and the location and views made this hotel one of the most desirable in all of Hong Kong.  I am looking forward to another Lunar New Year with Intercontinental Hong Kong.
