Chase Hyatt Visa credit card welcome bonus offer is changing June 29th.

Chase Bank is changing the welcome bonus offer on its Hyatt credit card come June 29th.

The current promotion of receiving 2 free nights at any category Hyatt property in the world after spending $2000 in the first 3 months of opening an account will be replaced with a welcome bonus offer of 40,000 Hyatt points after your first $2000 spend in the first 3 months of opening your account.

Depending on your travel preferences, you should apply before or after the June 29th.  If you prefer to use stay at category 6 and 7 hotels that require 25,000 – 30,000 points or $900 – $1,000 per night like the Park Hyatt Sydney, Maldives or Vendome, then you should apply at Chase by the end of day on June 28.  If you desire to get more nights for your points by staying at lower category Hyatt brand hotels or plan to redeem for rooms with the points and cash option, you might want to apply on June 29th or afterwards.

Remember the Chase Hyatt Visa card is not subject to the 5/24 rule in which if you have been approved for 5 or more credit cards the past 24 months, you will most likely be declined.  The welcome bonus offer is not available to anybody who currently has the card or has received the welcome bonus offer in the last 24 months.
