
American Airlines opened the doors to its newly renovated Flagship lounge at terminal 8 at JFK Airport in New York. The Lounge is one of seven new or renovated lounges American Airlines has plans for which also include Chicago O’Hare, Dallas Fort Worth, Los Angeles, London Heathrow, Miami and Philadelphia. These new Flagship lounges are a part of American Airlines’ $200 million investment into improving its luxury travel experience. Lounge access has been expanded to include business class passengers travel on qualifying international and transcontinental routes, in addition to first class customer who previously had access to the lounge.


Food and spirits have been enhanced at the newly opened lounge. American Airlines offers an expansive selection of hot and cold foods at its buffet, an la carte dining menu and a chef’s table with a rotating made to order food entrees to entice the palette. Premium wine and champagne will be on hand as well as a cocktail mixing station.

Fine dining with locally-inspired menus is also made available to transcontinental and international first class passengers on qualify routes. Locally sourced ingredients will make up AA’s signature Flagship burger. Specialty drinks and wines will selected from some of the finest mixologists and sommeliers in the region.
American Airlines also to took this opportunity to enhance their check-in experience with check-in representatives who will assist transcontinental and international first class passengers on qualify routes with speedier check in, luggage check in and expedite security for more lounge time.
American Airlines has taken the right steps in improving their premium passenger satisfaction and their overall image in providing equally or better service than many of their international competitors.
